About The Artist

I’m Alana, a jewellery designer and maker inspired by the deep connections between nature, energy, and self-expression. Creativity has always been at the heart of everything I do, and my journey into jewellery-making was shaped by a love for storytelling, symbolism, and craftsmanship.

Before jewellery, I set up my own floristry business - a craft I loved for its romance and fleeting beauty. Flowers have a way of expressing emotions beyond words, and I was drawn to their ability to hold such meaning. I later became the in-house florist for the Greens Department, creating floral installations for TV, film, and adverts, including campaigns like Gucci perfume ads. As I worked with flowers, I found myself experimenting with ways to incorporate them into jewellery. This exploration sparked my desire to study jewellery design. When flower heads would inevitably break, I began repurposing them into earrings and hair pins, ensuring their beauty wasn't wasted. That same sense of intention has carried into my jewellery. Like floristry, jewellery is about connection, ritual, and presence - but unlike flowers, it lasts, growing with the wearer over time.

My designs embrace bold, organic forms that feel both ancient and modern. I work exclusively with recycled solid silver, gold, and bronze, honouring sustainability in every step. Glass and repurposed natural crystals find their way into my pieces, carrying stories of transformation and renewal. I primarily use lost wax casting to create fluid, sculptural shapes and am exploring cuttlefish casting for its raw, elemental textures.

Guided by my soul, the personal experiences and people I meet all leave their imprint on my designs. Each piece is created with intention - whether for healing, grounding, strength, or as a statement of self-expression. More than an accessory, jewellery is a piece of the heart - something to be worn, held, and treasured.
