BLIND TRUST - DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PORTFOLIO

Through touch, trust, and the removal of sight, the work shifts from shared intimacy to a deeply personal experience of the body.

This work is an intimate, wearable piece designed to be experienced through the body rather than observed.

A torso piece and blindfold, formed from soft leather and cast sterling silver, are worn with the help of another person. Guided by consent and attentiveness, the piece is adjusted in response to the wearer’s body, creating a shared moment of trust and connection.

With sight removed, sensation is heightened. When left alone, the wearer turns inward - her breathing deepens and movement emerges instinctively.

The work shifts from a shared interaction to a private, internal experience, centring feeling, embodiment, and self-awareness rather than spectacle.
